Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
WHYP.Me Manager ("the app", at https://whyp.me) is a private communications manager operated by Yogi Patel for his own use and for the businesses he runs. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, stored and shared, and how to have it deleted.
Who uses the app
The app is used only by Yogi Patel. It is not offered to the public and does not let other people sign up. The only Google account it connects to is the one he authorizes himself.
Data the app accesses
- Gmail (Google user data): email messages, headers, labels and attachments in
the connected Gmail account, through the Gmail API (scope
gmail.modify). - Google Ads and other Google business accounts (if connected): account, campaign and billing reports for the businesses he manages.
- Other channels he connects: his text messages, phone calls placed on his behalf, and his team-chat workspaces.
- Contacts: names, phone numbers and email addresses of people he corresponds with.
How the data is used
The data is used only to provide features he uses himself:
- to show his email and messages in one place, grouped by person and project;
- to file email (receipts, bills, newsletters, messages that need a reply), apply labels, archive, mark read and unsubscribe from mailing lists he chooses;
- to create tasks and reminders from messages that need his action;
- to draft replies and send email only on his instruction or approval;
- to summarize advertising and account reports for his businesses.
Email content may be processed by a language model to classify and summarize it. That processing runs on servers he controls; Google user data is not used to train any model.
Limited Use of Google user data
WHYP.Me Manager's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- Google user data is used only to provide or improve the user-facing features described above.
- It is not transferred to others except as needed to provide those features, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or sale with the user's consent.
- It is not used for advertising, including retargeting or personalized or interest-based ads.
- It is not sold, and humans do not read it except with the user's consent, for security purposes, to comply with law, or when the data is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.
- It is not used to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Storage and security
Data is stored in a database on a private server operated by Yogi Patel. Connections use HTTPS. OAuth tokens and API credentials are kept in server configuration with restricted file permissions, not in the database. Access to the app's administration requires a staff login.
Sharing
Data is not sold or shared with third parties. Messages about a business he runs may be passed to that business's own systems (for example its order or support system) only when he has set that up. Service providers that host or run the app process data only on his behalf.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept while the account is connected and the app is in use. Access can be revoked at any time from the Google Account's security settings (Third-party apps with account access), which stops all further access. Stored data is deleted on request; to request deletion, email [email protected].
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version is posted on this page with a new date.
